New Order‘s Music Complete¬†– released on this day 3 years ago – was the band’s first long-player for a decade, and the first for a few more reasons too:

  • The first without long-time bassist and founding member Peter Hook.
  • The first with Gillian Gilbert back in the fold since 2001’s Get Ready.
  • The first to feature Tom Chapman as an official member.

It’s also the first, and unlikely to be the last, to get the Track By Track treatment. We’ve discussed the return to the underground club scene, the guest stars and Guess Who…

Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already (you’ve missed Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran and CHVRCHES so far!), and join in the chat @MoveToTrashUK #TrackByTrack.

And if you haven’t already, you can listen to the album anywhere.
