There’s one stage that doesn’t appear on the main Bestival line-up poster, and it’s a hidden gem you won’t want to miss it. I say hidden – in actual fact it’s a huge, wooden structure that wouldn’t look out of place in an abstract ski resort, serving Jäger cocktails and hosting exclusive sets. (Do not, under any circumstance, as I did 2 years ago, ask for a Jägerbomb, as this will be frowned upon. The alternatives are much better, however.)
This year the JägerHaus have electronic wizard Joe Goddard at the top of the bill, where he’ll be showcasing tracks from his recent album, Electric Lines, as well as a DJ set from Stockport’s finest, Blossoms – also appearing live in The Box over the weekend. If their set features half the tracks from the ultimate gaming playlist they made for Apple Music recently we’re in for a treat. Circa Waves will also be stepping behind the decks, and hopefully spinning the sort of classic indie/rock tracks that inspired them.
But it’s not just about the dance and the DJs; Idles and Yonaka bring something heavier to the mix, while The Fedz and Harry Jay-Steele offer stripped back soul with some solid vocals. In short; it’s going to be a celebration of festival spectacles across the genres, with the Jäger flowing throughout. You can find the full line up here.
To get you in the mood, we’ve got a bottle of Jägermeister and a Jäger portable phone charger to give away. To enter head to our Facebook page here and share the relevant post.
Bla bla bla bits: The competition closes at midday on Tuesday 5th September (the day before Bestival), and the winner will be contacted later that day. As this is an alcoholic product the winner must be over 18 years old.
